How to Add a Watermark to Multiple Photos at Once on Windows
Adding a watermark to one photo is easy. Adding the same logo or copyright text to 300 photos by hand is not. Here is how to put a watermark on multiple photos at once on Windows 11 and 10, and what to check so the result looks professional.
Why the built-in tools fall short
The Photos app and Paint can add text to a picture, but only one picture at a time, with no way to reuse the same watermark on a folder. File Explorer has no watermark feature at all. For a batch you need a tool that applies one design to every image.
Batch watermark with Batch Watermark Creator
Batch Watermark Creator stamps text and logo watermarks on whole folders, and resizes, converts and renames in the same run.
- Add images. Pick files, drag and drop, or choose a folder; every subfolder is scanned.
- Design the watermark. Add a text layer, an image (logo) layer, or both. Drag it into place or use the nine-grid buttons to snap it to a corner or the centre. Effects such as drop shadow and outer glow help it stay readable on light and dark photos.
- Choose the output. Pick a format and quality (Compare quality helps if you are unsure) and an output folder.
- Optional: resize and rename. The Advanced tab sets output dimensions and a naming rule.
- Press Process and open the output folder.
Placement that works
| Goal | Placement |
|---|---|
| Credit without covering the photo | Single small mark in a corner |
| Deter casual copying | Larger semi-transparent mark near the centre, or tiled across the picture |
| Show date or camera info | Text from the photo’s own details; see the EXIF watermark guide |
No visible watermark makes copying impossible; it makes removing your name laborious. For product photos see watermarking product photos in bulk.
