Ten o'clock in the computer lab, the room gone quiet, and the pipes still growing. These five are the originals, studied and remade from scratch — the same motion, the same colours, at the resolution and refresh rate of the screen in front of you.
The one everyone remembers
Four glossy pipes grow through the screen at once, turning with ball and elbow joints until the screen is full — then the mosaic wipe clears it and a new set of colours starts. RetroScreen rebuilds the 3D Pipes screensaver for Windows 10 and 11 with the same pacing and the same plastic sheen as the 1998 original, rendered at your monitor's native resolution instead of stretched from 640×480.
A fresh maze every run
Red bricks, a grey stone floor and a first-person walk through a maze that is generated fresh each time the screensaver starts. The wanderer follows the left-hand rule, occasionally flips upside down, and never quite finds the exit — exactly as it did on Windows 95 and 98, now smooth at 60 frames per second.
Warp speed, one slider's worth
The Starfield Simulation screensaver: hundreds of white stars streaming toward you out of a black sky. Five hundred stars, no two flights the same, and the speed is yours to set. Every monitor on your desk gets its own starfield rather than one stretched across all of them.
The hypnotic one

Run RetroScreen_Classic_Setup.exe and leave "Open Screen Saver Settings now" ticked, or right-click any .scr file and choose Install. Then pick the screensaver in Windows' own Screen Saver Settings, set the idle time and click OK.
